Laura Hurtado

Owner | Chief Executive Officer 

Laura Hurtado brings over 20 years of management experience, specializing in association management and client services. She leads strategic planning for commercial associations and their Boards, with a strong track record of implementing property business plans and resolving complex operational issues.


After completing her Marine Corps contract, she entered the industry in 2007 and later earned her CCAM® certification with a Portfolio Management concentration. Laura holds degrees in Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, and an MBA from the University of Redlands.


Her career has centered on the Southern California market, where she has managed master-planned communities, high‑rise and mid‑rise buildings, and a range of commercial, industrial, retail, and mixed‑use properties. She has also served as an onsite General Manager for a self‑managed community.
Following her MBA, she became Director of Business Development for a CPA firm, leading rebranding and outreach efforts. She is also a licensed real estate professional with experience in CAM reconciliations, leasing, and commercial property management.

Elena Rodriguez

Senior Accountant

As Senior Accountant, Elena oversees the preparation and analysis of financial reports, performs CAM reconciliations, and manages payment processing. She monitors cash flow, conducts bank reconciliations, and leads budget development while ensuring accuracy across accounts payable and receivable. Guided by GAAP and AICPA ethical standards, she upholds the highest levels of accuracy, transparency, and integrity in all financial operations.

Lee Anne Lobato

Accountant

Synergy's accountants are responsible for generating and analyzing financial reports, calculating CAM recoveries, and processing checkuns. They monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and manage budgets while ensuring accurate accounts payable and receivable. Guided by principles such as GAAP and AICPA's Ethical Guidelines they maintain accuracy, transparency, and integrity in their work.

Marilou Rojas

Director of Business Development 

Marilou Rojas heads the Business Development department where she is responsible for client relationships, bringing on new business, and keeping the Synergy Management Group name out in the industry.  Her current focus will be northern California, forming partnerships with industry partners and focusing on relationship building.

David Alva

Director of Association Management 

David Alva joins Synergy Management Group as Director of Association Management, bringing community association and real estate experience dating back to 2017. A San Diego native, he holds a B.A. in Communication, two Associate Degrees, and certifications in Project Management and Real Estate Finance.  A Certified Community Association Manager (CCAM®) and licensed real estate professional, David is recognized for his integrity, diligence, and clear communication—qualities that strengthen client relationships and support thriving communities.

Macy O'Brien

Assistant Operations Manager

Macy O’Brien brings over 20 years of experience in Common Interest Development and Property Management to Synergy Management Group. Known for her strong leadership, industry expertise, and relationship‑driven approach, she excels in daily operations and managing complex portfolios. Macy holds state and national certifications and is actively pursuing additional designations through BOMA and IREM. Her commitment to continued education and exceptional service makes her a trusted partner to every property she supports.
